The centre can help you with information about the campus and facilities as well. Tutors can answer any questions you may have about university and covers a range of supports that include:
academic writing
note management
time management
assignment planning and proofreading
presentation skills/ exam techniques
mind mapping skills

How could this affect me?
Engaging with the centre will help you settle in to university and it is a quiet safe space to come and relax in between lectures. There is always a staff member present to help. The service is confidential. You can drop in at any time Monday to Friday.
It is recommended to use the centre as soon as you are registered and before your studies and assignments begin. Engaging early will mean a better success rate to you and prevent work building up or missing deadlines. The centre is just another zone to access and study in and will have other students registered with our disability service.
There is also an ASC centre in College Street available in room A007 (Mon-Wed).
