2 Visiting the library

The Luke Wadding library at SETU offers more than just books for our neurodivergent students. It can offer a safe space to study, relax, check in with our ASC centre and relax in our sensory pod chairs.

3 Peer-2-Peer

The P2P (Peer-to-Peer) Programme at SETU on the Waterford campus is a student mentoring and support programme designed to help first years settle into college life. Students from 2nd year and above volunteer as trained peer mentors for incoming first years.

4 Academic Skills Centre

Our ASC centre is located downstairs in the Luke Wadding library on main campus, Waterford. Once you have registered with the disability office you can avail of support here.

The centre is open Monday- Friday each week during term time from 8.30am to 5pm. It is a drop-in service and you can also book 1:1 time with your learning support tutor.

5 Bi Monthly Lunch Club

This is a new service launched in September 2026 to provide a quiet and relaxing lunch space for students who are autistic to meet and relax during lunch-times on campus. Check in with your ESW worker for details and access.

6 Quiet areas on SETU campus

We have many quiet areas on campus to help neurodivergent students relax between lectures and study times. These include our sensory room, green areas, quiet room in the main atrium, pod chairs in the Luke Wadding Library on entrance level.
